Problem statement
Users spend excessive time manually extracting and filling in fields for entity profiles from documents, especially when dealing with large volumes. This inefficient process reduces productivity, increases the potential for errors, and leads to user frustration.
My role
As Product Designer on this AI-driven project, I stepped into a challenging environment where the engineering team had already built the backend — an "engineering-first" approach with no clear product vision. Although the core problem was validated, its scope was broad and complex. To ensure we built the right thing first, I initiated and conducted user interviews to identify the most urgent sub-problem. I translated those insights into actionable design priorities, aligning the product direction with real user needs. My role was to bridge the gap between a backend-driven build and a user-centered experience by focusing on clarity, scope, and value delivery.
