Problem statement

KYC reviews must be completed on time, but due dates often conflict with team capacity. Managers lack tools to easily track, prioritize, and reschedule reviews. This leads to missed deadlines, overworked teams, and compliance risks.

My role

As the Product Designer on this project, I was responsible for turning a clear product goal — helping users manage upcoming reviews and balance scheduling capacity — into a solution that worked across different customer types and job roles.

I approached the challenge by applying Jobs to Be Done thinking to uncover the core tasks users were trying to accomplish, beyond their job titles. While each customer had unique data points and workflows, I focused on understanding their underlying goals: What did “managing review workload” actually mean for a team lead vs. a practitioner?

Through interviews and workflow mapping, I identified key jobs (e.g., "ensure my team isn't overloaded next quarter") and designed flexible, data-informed interfaces that supported these tasks directly. This allowed the product to meet diverse user needs while staying anchored to the original product vision.
